1. Users

1.1 The labs may be used by individuals and instituitions in the following order of priority:

1.1.1 Researchers, instrctors and students from DECA and ICIST;

1.1.2 Researchers, instructors and students from IST and INESC, the two institutions collaborating in the project;

1.1.3 Researchers, instructors and students from Lisbon Technical University;

1.1.4 Researchers, instructors and students from Portuguese universities and reaserch centers;

1.1.5 Researchers, instructors and students from foreign universities and reaserch centers.

1.2 Usage conditions

1.2.1 Students may have access to the labs within the context of classes for which they are registered or within the context of research projects (final project, thesis, etc.) under the supervision of a lab monitor.

1.2.2 Instructors and researchers may have access to the lab without the supervision of a lab monitor if they are familiar with the use of the equipment.

1.2.3 The labs will organize crash courses on the use of the equipment and issue certificates that will enable future use of the labs without the supervision of a monitor.

1.2.4 The use of the equipment is constrained by its availability.

1.2.5 The use of the equipment is subject to the payment of a fee to cover maintenance of material costs.

1.2.6 Each equipment will have a sign up sheet.

1.2.7 If a person who books the equipment does not show up at the scheduled time to use the equipment s/he will have to pay a penalty fee.

2. Classes

2.1 The labs may be used for classes.

2.2 Architecture undergraduate and graduate classes will have priority over other classes.

2.3 The labs may not be used for classes more than 6h a day.

3. Schedule

3.1 During installation, the labs schedule will be constrained by the availability of their responsibles and monitors.

3.2 After installation and during the classes, the labs will be open from Monday through Friday, from 9.00 am to 6:00pm, on Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and they will close on Sundays.

3.3 After installation and during holidays, the labs will be open from Monday through Friday, from 9.00 am to 1:00pm, and they close on Saturdays and Sundays.
